How to choose an air source for your Tippmann 98 custom paintball gun

        There are many different types of air sources to use with your Tippmann 98 custom paintball gun. paintball guns shoot paintballs with compressed air. Most people who play use compressed Co2 because its cheap and easy to find somewhere to refill it. But there is also compressed oxygen and compressed nitrogen. With compressed air you get around 750+ shots per bottle. With Co2 you get 500+ shots with a 12 oz bottle and with nitrogen you get 1100+ shots per bottle. The reasons the gases can shoot more paintballs than a different gas is because gases have different pressuses they can fit into the same amount of space.  You can get a harness to hold another in bottle of co2, compressed air or nitrogen you run out during a game a waist harness to hold your air source and a few hundred paintballs, or you can just connect a air transfer cord. To do that you use a air cord to transfer the air from your air source to the paintball gun. Different air sources require different parts like oxygen and nitrogen require a 3 way adadpter to get the best use of the oxygen or nitrogen and Co2 you just hook it up.

        Which kind of air is right for you. If you Just play for fun co2 will do the job. but if you play in a number of climates compressed air is better because it works better and longer in various climates. For competing compressed air or nitrogen. For indoors, you probably want co2 and for outdoor either co2 or compressed air whichever you want but compressed air costs more. The most common tournament air source is oxygen or nitrogen. But the most common overall is Co2.
