I found this on Ezine articles and thought it would help some people that came to this site.

Who would have guessed that paintball could be so addicting and so much fun? I certainly didn’t predict that as the result of a weekend paintball party I attended a few months ago. But now I play every chance I get. I want to share with you a few tips I’ve learned along the way about how to select the right marker for you.

First off, if you’re new, you’ll probably want to rent your equipment for a while before rushing out to buy anything. This way you can try several different styles before deciding which one you like best. Selecting the right gun for your body and your game can make the difference not only in whether you win or lose, but also in how much enjoyment you get from the game.

There are many paintball guns on the market and they’re definitely not ‘one size fits all’. Your choice will depend on how often you play, your level of expertise and of course, personal preference. Do you want a basic pump action gun or the increased speed and power of a semi automatic or full automatic? How often and where will you be playing? Answering these questions can help narrow your search for the perfect paintball gun for your game.

When a new model comes out, don’t buy it right away. Wait and see what’s being said by the players using it and look for reviews after enough time has passed for any bugs to be discovered before you hand over your hard-earned money. There are tons of review sites online where you can check out the opinions of others before you buy.

Here are seven important questions you need to ask when shopping for a paintball gun, especially if it’s your first one:

1. Is it durable and well constructed? Check to be sure all the parts are operating and make sure they fit correctly. Paintball guns should be built for endurance as they can suffer harsh punishment with frequent use. Keep in mind a metal gun will be stronger and last longer than a plastic one.

2. Is it too heavy? During a game, you’ll be constantly carrying your marker, sometimes being forced to run with it in your hands and the weight can seem to grow heavier over time. Hold it in your arms and walk around the store with it for a few minutes to decide if it’s light enough to be practical in the field. If it begins to feel heavy in those few minutes, you’re better off to choose a lighter one.

3. Is it easy to operate? You don’t want to find yourself out in the field fumbling with a gun that’s difficult to use. It should be easy to use and reasonably simple to maintain.

4. Is it upgradeable? Opinions are divided on upgrades. Some players think it’s important to be able to add features to your marker later, as your experience improves. Others maintain if you buy a quality marker to begin with, it shouldn’t need upgrades. This comes down to a personal choice, but you need to know if the gun you’re considering has the option to upgrade, should you decide you wanted to.

5. Does it come with a warranty? Typically, quality markers sold by reputable sellers will carry with them a warranty. The length of time may vary, but your purchase should be protected for a specified period of time.

6. Which air supply does it use? Some guns use pressurized air, others use CO2 and there are tanks and cartridges available. The size you need is largely determined by the type player you are. A sniper doesn’t need as large an air supply as a cover player, for example. The same is true for hopper size. (The container on the gun that holds the paintballs)

7. Does the color match my environment? Depending on where you choose to play most of the time, color may be an issue. If the majority of your playing time is spent in the field, a paintball gun that’s brightly colored or shiny and flashy will make you a better target for your opponents. You’ll do better in the field with camouflage marker, or one that’s dark colored with a matte finish.

This, as I’ve discovered, is a fun way to blow off steam, burn up a few calories, socialize with friends and enjoy the great outdoors. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves an adrenaline rush! I’ve found some jaw-dropping good deals online for all sorts of supplies, including guns. With a little online research of your own, you should be able to find anything you need to maximize your paintball experience.

Stop paying too much for your paintball supplies! Itdoesn’t have to be a budget-killer. Some of the best deals are right at your fingertips. Click below for a great selection of paintball markers and supplies at prices so reasonable your credit card will hardly notice them.

There are many different types of air sources to use with your Tippmann 98 custom paintball gun. paintball guns shoot paintballs with compressed air. Most people who play use compressed Co2 because its cheap and easy to find somewhere to refill it. But there is also compressed oxygen and compressed nitrogen. With compressed air you get around 750+ shots per bottle. With Co2 you get 500+ shots with a 12 oz bottle and with nitrogen you get 1100+ shots per bottle. The reasons the gases can shoot more paintballs than a different gas is because gases have different pressuses they can fit into the same amount of space. You can get a harness to hold another in bottle of co2, compressed air or nitrogen you run out during a game a waist harness to hold your air source and a few hundred paintballs, or you can just connect a air transfer cord. To do that you use a air cord to transfer the air from your air source to the paintball gun. Different air sources require different parts like oxygen and nitrogen require a 3 way adadpter to get the best use of the oxygen or nitrogen and Co2 you just hook it up.

Which kind of air is right for you. If you Just play for fun co2 will do the job. but if you play in a number of climates compressed air is better because it works better and longer in various climates. For competing compressed air or nitrogen. For indoors, you probably want co2 and for outdoor either co2 or compressed air whichever you want but compressed air costs more. The most common tournament air source is oxygen or nitrogen. But the most common overall is Co2.

Indoor and outdoor fields are usualy setup with cover like bushes, towers, tunnels, barrels, trees and wooden fences, a good paintball gun for this type is the tippmann 98 custom paintball gun. Indoor paintball fields may be as big as 75,000 square feet and outdoor fields as large 175 acres. In the U.S. there is an average of 12 paintball fields per state. The outdoor field in Cochrane Alberta is one of the largest fields in the world. ThThe most common way to play paintball in teams. one game could last a few minutes to almost 2 days marathons, With camps. Games are very simple though like capture the flag, two teams go after one flag and whichever team gets it to base first wins or vitals where two teams see who runs out of players first but only head shots, chest shots and back shots count but most are eliminataion whichever team runs out of players first looses. Hit count when a ball hits another player an breaks. Then The player who was hit must leave the game. Paintballs are vegetable oil based paint and can be cleaned and washed easily, while also being biodegradeable. All paintballs are .68 caliber but there are 6 different sizes .684, .685, .686, .687, .688 and .689 these may seem like the dont matter but the really do if you have a .689 caliber paintball in a .684 caliber barrel the paintball will bust inside the barrel before it leaves the gun. This happens because the manufactures make barrels to perfectly fit one size of paintball. The tournament requirements for a paintballs velocity is between 250 to 300 feet per second which is 200 miles per hour. The tippmann 98 custom paintball gun gets to a mximum of about 350 feet per second. That stings when one hits bare skin but some guns can reach 1000 feet per second and thats 600 miles per hour.

The best way to not get those 600 mile per hour paintballs even though some paintball guns cant reach that speed, is to play with full saftey gear like chest and leg protectors, or play at a speed regulated course.

Out of the hundreds of paintball guns, my favorite gun is the Tippmann 98 custom paintball gun. This is my favorite gun because its the most customizable gun on the planet. You can make so many modifications to make it your own and to be comfortable to you. To do this you must first find out what requirements you want or need for your gun. Then look for the part you want and like to put on your gun. You can add a new barrel, a new stock and much, much more. So many add ons can be put on to the Tippmann 98 custom paint ball gun.

Decide whether you’ll be playing indoor our outdoor paintball before you decide on a gun. You can choose better withe these options figured out. Find a gun that blends into the surroundings. Most guns are black but some you can change the color by buyin graphics. If you play outside a black or camo gun would be best. These guns include, kingman, brass eagle, tippmann and more. you can also have camo clothes to blend into the woods or forests. Also with outside you can hide in bushes trees to not be seen by your opponent, But with indoors you stand out from al of the inflatable shields and have no place to hide.

Determine the budget that you’ll be working with when it comes to buying your gun. First find a gun you like the most for your budget, and has the most customizeable options a very good paintball gun to start with is either a kingman spyder or a Tippmann 98 Custom paintball gun. Kingman spyders are pretty good but do not last as as long or has as many upgrades as the Tippmann 98 custom paintball gun.
